PRODUCT DETAILS
Prints: All prints are made on an archival, fine art matte, giclée paper with a high-quality fine art finish which helps keep the artwork untarnished from sun rays and time decay. The image goes to the edge of the paper unless otherwise requested with customer service.
Canvases: All canvases come stretched, gallery wrapped, on a .75 inch width frame and are ready to hang on the wall. The art will be mirror wrapped to preserve the front perspective of the piece. Please contact our customer service team if you would like to request a rolled canvas instead of a stretched canvas.
A message from the artist:
There is a talk by Jeffery R. Holland that has stuck in my mind for years called “Remember Lots Wife”. It’s a talk about when Lot and his wife were commanded from God to leave Sodom & Gomorrah, and when doing so, to not look back. As the story goes, Lot’s wife looks back and turns into a pillar of salt. The talk was focused on why Lot’s wife would be turned into a pillar of salt for simply looking back. The talk delved into what Lot’s wife was thinking and how her heart felt beyond just looking back. As if Lot’s wife didn’t just look back, but she wanted to go back because Sodom & Gomorrah was home and had everything that she loved.
Sometimes I feel like Lot’s wife. When trials come my way, I don’t want to keep moving forward. I want to be planted in what is comfortable to me and stay in my world of denial and butterflies. However, for any of us to progress, to be better and become who God wants us to be and do what he has planned for us to do, we need to move forward and not look back. No matter much my heart and my mind want to.
I chose sunflowers, because sunflowers always face the sun when bloomed. Walking into the unknown is dark, and feels like we are walking away from light. I know though where ever we end up after moving forward, new sunflowers will grow.
