PRODUCT DETAILS
Prints: All prints are made on an archival, fine art matte, giclée paper with a high-quality fine art finish which helps keep the artwork untarnished from sun rays and time decay. The image goes to the edge of the paper unless otherwise requested with customer service.
Canvases: All canvases come stretched, gallery wrapped, on a .75 inch width frame and are ready to hang on the wall. The art will be mirror wrapped to preserve the front perspective of the piece. Please contact our customer service team if you would like to request a rolled canvas instead of a stretched canvas.
A message from the artist:
James E. Faust said, "We should earnestly seek not just to know about the Master, but to strive, as He invited, to be one with Him (John 17:21), to “be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man” (Eph. 3:16)."
In my recent efforts to rediscover my own worth and really relearn to see myself as God sees me I have felt so close to my Savior. "One with Him" is my original painting reminding me that on my journey of individual worth, Christ is here 100% of the way and I should continue to strive to be strengthened by His spirit.
At the beginning of my journey, I asked a dear friend of mine for book suggestions on the topic of seeing myself as God sees me. My loving friend sent me a link to Michelle D. Craig's talk "Eyes to See". A few of Sister Craig's words stuck with me as I painted this painting. She said, "Perhaps the most important things for us to see clearly are who God is and who we really are—sons and daughters of heavenly parents, with a “divine nature and eternal destiny.” Ask God to reveal these truths to you, along with how He feels about you. The more you understand your true identity and purpose, soul-deep, the more it will influence everything in your life." Click here for the link.
Another scene that kept replaying in my head as I painted this was the short video message by Elder Uchtdorf called "Our True Identity". This short video has been a constant in my life, for some reason, it is the message I always need to hear. I first watched it as a young woman shortly after finding my faith, I watched it many times a week on my mission and shared it with everyone I taught. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf retells the story of the ugly duckling and urges us to reflect on who we really are—sons and daughters of a glorious Heavenly Father. Click here for link.
This painting marks the beginning of my journey to relearning to understand my worth and developing eyes to see myself as God sees me— a daughter of a King.
