Precious and Chosen
By Julia Willis
A beautiful still moment of Mary holding the baby Jesus. The perfect reminder this Christmas season.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Prints: All prints are made on an archival, fine art matte, giclée paper with a high-quality fine art finish which helps keep the artwork untarnished from sun rays and time decay. The image goes to the edge of the paper unless otherwise requested with customer service.
Canvases: All canvases come stretched, gallery wrapped, on a .75 inch width frame and are ready to hang on the wall. The art will be mirror wrapped to preserve the front perspective of the piece. Please contact our customer service team if you would like to request a rolled canvas instead of a stretched canvas.
A word from the artist:
I am often left in awe and amazement at what it must have been like to receive
the calling of Mother of Jesus the Christ. Mary was special. She was virtuous,
good, filled with faith, and trustworthy. She was a “precious and chosen vessel.”
I have no doubt that she was foreordained and prepared long before she came to
this earth, but it still must have been a terrifying and heavy responsibility to
shoulder.
Christ too is precious and chosen. He is the Son of God, the author of Eternal
Salvation and came to this earth to change all hearts, provide a way for us to be
forgiven of our sins, and live with God forever.
It’s a privilege to be the first to hold a new born baby; a spirit child so precious to
a loving Heavenly Father. I feel it a sacred honor to hold and be entrusted with
the title of Mother.
I wanted to create a drawing that focuses both on “the wondrous little stranger”
and the woman who with unshakeable faith said, “Behold the handmaiden of the
Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.”
