A word from the artist:
Most paintings that represent the atonement and Garden of Gethsemane are quite dark.
While they are historically correct as Christ suffered in the garden at night, I wanted my
depiction to represent the hope and light the atonement brings into our lives.
This painting reminds me that Christ has already suffered through everything that we have and
will ever go through.
Because of Him, we don’t have to go through this life in the dark.
Because of Him, we can try again when we make a mistake.
Because of Him, we can be with our families again.
Because of Him, we are never alone.
He is our light.
