I painted this in honor of Pregnancy And Infant Loss Awareness Month, which is October. In this painting, Christ hugs a baby to His chest. They stand in a field of forget me not flowers, with butterflies surrounding them. In many cultures, both forget me not flowers and butterflies are symbolic of loved ones who have passed away. They are a reminder that although your person is no longer with you physically, they are still with you and watching over you. In this painting, the main colors you see are light pink and light blue. This is purposefully done to represent the colors of the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness ribbon, which is blue and pink.
