Hope of Israel
By Lena Phillips
In a world that is increasing in noise and
distraction, contention and confusion, I find peace and
strength in knowing that the Savior is a constant,
unfailing source of hope. Often we stand in our own
way of receiving His guidance but the more hesitation,
the less inspiration we have. How can we be a tool in
His hands when the instrument is doing the
instructing? I love that thought as I use many tools in
creating my art pieces. If the tools were leading the
way we wouldn’t get very far. It’s best to let the Master
Artist be our guiding direction in our lives and watch as
He turns them into glorious masterpieces.
“I believe if you could remember who you said you would
help while you are here on earth, or what anguishing
experiences you agreed to go through, that whatever really
tough situation you are presently in—or will be in—you
would say, ‘Oh, now I remember. Now I understand. This
difficult situation makes sense to me now. With the Lord’s
help I can do this!’ … Pre-mortally, you and I committed to
do a great work while we are here on earth. And with the
Lord’s help, we will do it!” – Russell M. Nelson
As is depicted in this piece, let us follow the
Savior as we look to the future with joy knowing there
is Hope in Him.
