Carly White

Hiiii, I’m Carly. I’m from Las Vegas and currently live in Provo. When I was little, my dad told me I could be in the Olympics for art and my mom gave me crayons during church to keep me quiet and that combo of encouragement and enabling brought me here. At some sad point as a teenager, I decided that art would always be a hobby, but that I needed to find a stable job. I lived in Russia for 18 months and learned about Jesus there. After taking endless general classes at universities, I gave into my little girl dream of being an artist and dropped out to pursue my calling in life. Since then, I found an obsession with religious symbolism and oil painting as of late. Also when I was little, I told my mom I wanted to marry a hot nerd and then I did that. I met my math loving analytical funny husband @whitegranton 4 years ago and since then have created one perfect baby - my all time favorite piece of art I’ve ever made.  I never believed people fully when they said they loved being a mom, until I had the privilege to become one. I’m currently studying under @jkirkrichards and his teaching has quite literally transformed my art and mind. At the beginning of the year, I took 6 months off of social media to paint a new collection of work and that’s what I’ve been currently working on sharing with you all. The worst things about me are that I can be pretty impulsive, quick to give advice, messy, and s l o w to respond to messages. (hello 61 unread texts. Don’t hate me) The best things about me are that I am good at teaching through analogy, am goal driven, often in tune with heavenly messages, and am a fun mom. COLOR is my current love language.
