He Heals What is Broken
Out of shattered pieces, the Savior has the power to create something beautiful. I am so grateful for the countless ways Christ has healed me. I know He has the power to make us whole.
In this painting, Christ puts a vase back together using Kintsugi (???, "golden joinery"). This Japanese pottery technique has truly changed my life. It treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. I love to think of my relationship with Christ in this way. We are never broken beyond repair, because of Him. He offers the healing and love that I need. I will always remember the painful things I have been through, but they are now a beautiful part of my story. How grateful I am to have a Savior who can heal what is broken ????
