A message from Natasha:
The week leading up to the creation of "The Good Seed," was a week full of triggers and inner turmoil. I sat in crippling anxiety over just about every aspect of life : concerns in the world, my life in comparison to many, circumstances I have no control over, even choices I had made, prayed over, and felt so much peace in previously.
As I sat down to work on this piece and prayed for the inspiration I had struggled to receive, the parable of the wheat and tares came to my mind. Without much in depth thought initially, I began to paint. As the piece came together and I saw what I had envisioned come to life, my feet felt firmly back on the ground. I realized that I had spent the week over-focused on the voices and opinions of the world surrounding me. I had stepped outside of my own life, resisted connection with my Savior, and doubted answers to prayer I had received. In a sense, I had forgotten that even in a world full of so much confusion and different directions, when following the Savior we are the safest we can be, and we will continue to grow despite any opposition surrounding us.
